With its club history spanning over 100 years, nine championship titles and four cup wins, 1. FC Nurnberg is one of the most tradition-steeped clubs in the German soccer community. Throughout the Nuremberg metropolitan area and even with numerous Audi employees in nearby Ingolstadt the club is highly popular. Passionate supporters of the squad – which has over 260 fan clubs across the nation – are found all over Germany.
For years, Audi Zentrum Nurnberg Feser has been on the ball with the club. At the beginning of the 2009/2010 Bundesliga season, which for the Nuremberg team starts on Saturday with a home round against FC Schalke 04, AUDI AG assumes the role of the club’s exclusive vehicle partner. Audi and its partner Feser present themselves with various models and the well-known brand logo, the four rings, at the club’s easyCredit stadium as well as in the club magazine and in commercial ads on the video wall.
1. FC Nurnberg is the youngest member of AUDI AG’s equally large and successful soccer family. Champions League winner FC Barcelona, the German record champion FC Bayern Munchen and Real Madrid are prominent partners. Via its importers Audi also supports the tradition-steeped Italian club AC Milan as well as the teams of Champions League finalist Manchester United, AS Monaco, Ajax Amsterdam and Red Bull Salzburg. In Germany, the manufacturer from Ingolstadt – via regional partners – is on the ball with TSG Hoffenheim, Hamburger SV, 1860 Munchen, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hertha BSC Berlin as vehicle partner as well.”
