Catalyst Interactive Advertising Award honors auto brands’ work in interactive media
The microsite designed to promote Truth in 24, the full-length NFL Films/Intersport documentary on the Audi Le Mans racing program, won a prestigious Catalyst Interactive Advertising Award.
Factory Design Labs, the Denver-based agency handling Audi of America interactive accounts, developed the Truth in 24 microsite as part of the Audi campaign to promote the award-winning film. Truth in 24 chronicled the Audi racing program’s pursuit of victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the world’s most grueling race. The fast-paced and visually-stunning microsite offered rich content and information focused around the film including video, links to download the film exclusively from iTunes, wall paper, screen savers and more. At the 1000 kilometer race at the Nürburgring the privateer team Kolles scored its best result to date in the European based Le Mans Series (LMS) with fourth place overall. After a faultless race Andy Meyrick, Narain Karthikeyan and Charles Zwolsman finished fourth in their Audi R10 TDI behind the three Aston Martin “factory” cars. After almost six hours of racing only 14.5 seconds separated them from a podium finish. The second Audi R10 TDI retired at the start of the second hour due to an accident when lapping a GT car.

Colin Kolles is planning to buy two Audi R10 TDI cars for his racing team. The privately fielded prototypes are planned to return to the venues of their greatest exploits in 2009: to the European-based Le Mans Series and to the 24-hour race at Le Mans, in which the Audi R10 TDI has not been beaten so far.
Audi of America will reveal the nationwide distribution deal it has reached to bring the award-winning documentary ‘Truth in 24’ to the U.S. audience.
Audi of America Chief Marketing Officer Scott Keogh will make the announcement Monday night during a media screening held in conjunction with the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The screening is taking place at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts, 350 Madison Ave., Detroit, MI 48226. Doors will open at 7:30 pm for media who have a valid auto show credential, or a current business card.
