Active in both the Belcar Endurance Championship and the championship of France GT, the new Belgian team immediately WRT live a very busy year with his Audi R8 GT3 LMS.
After taking possession of its cars, Mons team conducted the first real test this week. Firstly at Nogaro, where for two days, the Audi R8 LMS drove along several of their future rivals in France. Then it’s in Zolder, on Thursday, the team continued ownership of cars.
“These tests are really well,” said the engineer René Verbist. “Firstly the weather was on our side and on the other hand we have not experienced any mechanical problems! All race drivers were able to know the car already accumulated miles. Not only is the reliability already there, but we also saw in Nogaro that performance is also the rendezvous. So, it looks pretty good … ”
And while some may think that the Audi R8 LMS W Racing Team have been concerns in Zolder, René Verbist laughs. “We rolled twice until out of fuel for many draw the line … But it was voluntary so all is well!”
Next week, the W Racing Team will continue testing pre-season this time joining the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps.
