It has been a huge weekend for Audi and the Audi R8 LMS car. The car is so new and they are already scoring podiums not only in the FIA GT3 series but now at the ADAC ACAS H&R-Cup (VLN) yesterday. If you don’t see it, I’d say Audi is gearing up for two overall wins in two of the hardest 24 Hour races in the world; The 24 Heures du Mans and the 24 Hours Nurburgring.
The Phoenix Racing car driven by Marc Basseng, Marcel Fässler, Mike Rockenfeller and Frank Stippler placed second in the 4 hour race. Abt Sportline followed in third place with Christian Abt, Jean Francois Hemroulle, Pierre Kaffer and Lucas Luhr.
Fortunately, it was Manthey Racing, in their Porsche 911 GT3 RSR that took top honors.
