STaSIS Debuts Performance-Enhanced Audis at SEMA 2010

STaSIS Engineering will showcase its latest race-bred high-performance Audis at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show on November 2 through 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Debuting at SEMA in the Audi of America booth will be the 710-hp supercharged STaSIS Signature Series R8 V10 Spyder. The STaSIS Signature Series S5 cabriolet and Q5 SUV will be introduced in the STaSIS booth, appearing alongside the STaSIS Signature Series S4. These vehicles feature the same performance-enhancing brake, suspension, and driveline products as the entire STaSIS line for sedans and sports cars. Sold at Audi dealers nationwide, the STaSIS portfolio also includes a STaSIS version of Audi’s popular A4 that improves performance by nearly 25 percent, as well as performance-enhancing parts for TT, S5, S4, A6, A5, and A3 models, all with a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty. Galactic Audi R8 Spyder with 600 HP from Sport Wheels

We recently showed you the 330hp Golf R modified by Sport Wheels. We guess they had a need for speed and took an Audi R8 Spyder up to 600hp. The same OZ Ultraleggera HTL’s were used on the R8 Spyder, in turn dropping overall rotational mass. A Level 1 ECU update will hit 565hp while the Level 2 will hit 600hp. (continue reading…)

2010 Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI quattro Spyder promo video

After a successful debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the 2010 Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI quattro Spyder has been flying under the radar. One could say it has taken a backseat to the Audi e-tron and Audi e-tron compact. Sporting the same 5.2-liter V10 engine from the Coupe, power is rated at 525hp/391tq. With a top speed of 194 mph and a 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds… just watch the video and check out the full gallery after the jump!

Audi continues to invest strongly in the future
  • 7.3 billion euros total investment from 2009 through 2012
  • Around 5.9 billion euros for new products and future technologies
  • Number of models to increase from 34 now to 42 in 2015

Audi will continue to invest heavily in new products and forward-looking technologies in the future: plans for 2009 through 2012 envisage total investments of 7.3 billion euros for fixed assets.

In coming years the Audi Group will continue to invest strongly in its future. Approximately 5.9 billion euros, in other words about 80 percent of its total investment in fixed assets, will be devoted to new product development, further optimization of conventional drivelines and the development of electric and hybrid models.
