Not the best looking render…
“There are many rumors regarding Audi right now, most of them having to do with what the German automaker will show at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. This one, though, is of a different nature. It concerns a special-edition S5 supposedly dubbed the Project Anniversario.
According to Britain’s CAR magazine and their sources inside the four-ringed automaker, Project Anniversario is envisioned as the modern-day evolution of the famous ur Quattro and the Quattro S1 Rallye. Like the others, it will be a lightweight, hopped-up version of the midsize Audi meant to showcase the company’s sporting credentials and, in this case, celebrate the company’s centennial. Unfortunately, it won’t. Sources say that the project has been pushed back due to the economy and won’t debut until late next year, just in time for the original Quattro’s 30th anniversary, but only if a business case can be made for it.
