Aleks Altberg led the four APR VW’s in a caution-filled qualifying session for the CTSCC Emco Gears Classic. With limited green flag time for all of the ST-class cars, Altberg clicked off a 1:37.252, good for sixth, his second top-ten qualifying effort of the 2012 season. A post-qualifying penalty took away a pole position from Nick Longhi and co-driver Matt Plumb on Friday but the No. 13 Rum Bum Racing Porsche Carrera driving duo would not be denied again in Saturday’s GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Kia 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Rum Bum Racing makes the Porsche switch

Another one of those “We didn’t see this coming” stories. Rum Bum Racing and BMW have been synonymous when it comes to the CTSCC series. Their beautiful livery stands out quite a bit but the Rum Bum BMW M3 was always running in top spots in 2011.

Now we can admire them without hiding… Rum Bum will be moving to the Porsche Carrera for next weekends BMW Performance 200 at Barber Motorsport Park. In 2011, Rum Bum finished 7th in GS class. CCTCC: Pfaff Automotive Partners returns to the Canadian racing circuit

Pfaff Automotive Partners announced the return to the Canadian racing circuit in the 2011 Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship (CCTCC), Canada’s most notable and largest touring car racing series. The Pfaff Motorsport team has expanded this year to include Jeff Pabst, racing the 2011 Pfaff/Castrol Audi A5, and P.J.
