We now have a second qualifying session and pole being set by practice times! We were reporting on live timing earlier and did not learn of Ben Devlin’s (B-K Motorsport) crash. This happened about 38min into the 55min session. This left many leading LMP2 entries yet to set a time including both Penske Porsches and all three Acuras. Had the qualifying session counted, all five cars would have started from the back of the grid.
In LMP1, it looks as if Audi of Dindo Capello, Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen will take pole based off of their third sessions time. This splits the Audi’s, with Peugeot in 2nd.
GT1 and GT2 should not change.
