12.5.06 – Target has finally updated thier site to say the blue is shipping and the red is now arriving in 2 > 6 weeks… I have yet to find em in the store.
Alright, this is the ISH! Since I just got my first iPod ever, I was doing some “case” research and came across this “first look” on iLounge. Even though I just got an iPod I was on iLounge when it started as I almost got an iPod then.
Anyhoo, I am an avid fan of Jada Toys. They have been putting out some SICK ol’ skool dub stuff lately. I’ve got a couple 59′s already. So when I came across this I almost dropped my brand new MacBook Pro.
The article has it “marketed as an iPod-ready speaker for kids”. Well I guess I’m 35 going on 10 cause I’m dropping the coin on one ASAP! This thing has “hydrolics” so that it moves to your beats. It’s part of Jada’s “Chub City” collection. Says it’s compatible with all iPods.
I-Playaz is from a collection of toys featuring rappers Chub C. and Hype from Chub City. Officially licensed by Volkswagen and marketed as an iPod-ready speaker for kids, the I-Playaz ’59 Volkswagen Beetle (available in red or blue) plays music through an integrated speaker, and “moves and jams to the beat with interactive lights and sounds.” Four AA batteries provide power for the little car, which has its motion activated or deactivated by a press of the front Volkswagen seal; the headlights, taillights and windows flash with colored lights, the wheels are rotating spinners, and the car’s body pops up and shakes. There’s a sampled track built in for when your iPod’s not connected; a small audio cable is included, while the batteries aren’t. A word to the wise on this one: don’t playa hate.
