It’s Wednesday morning and we just arrived at Road Atlanta. I’m sure you have seen the news on the Great Flood 09 or whatever their calling it. Since the rains started, my first thought was Petit Le Mans! Once a year, one week, one weekend and this has to happen. Yesterday, the weather in Atlanta was outstanding. Pure sun. Today, its overcast and cooler. I believe it will burn off but its rather nice. The next few days call for 30% then 40% on raceday.

Yes, a Peugeot shot on oneighturbo.com They were moving into scrutineering right as we got here.
Petit 2009 will go down as one of the hottest, stacked with competition. Audi comes back as defending champion but the defeat at the 24 Hours of Le Mans has them written off. We were not to happy with some of then latest news, where they say this is testing for Le Mans 2010. The tone just seems to be that of Peugeot will win and we will battle with Acura. I know I’m wrong but I’d rather hear “We came to kick everyones ass!” and the Audi R15 TDI will dominate.
We are really excited to see Oreca, Dyson and the RS Spyder of Cytomax/Muscle Milk.
The GT2 class is going to be soooo good. BMW has come on strong in the late and Corvette is up to speed already. We knew this would be the case with them just dropping down a class. Since we are Porsche fans (duh) our cheers will be for the Flying Lizards, Falken Tire and Farnbacher Loles. I don’t think VICI Racing will be here.
We will also focus on the Jetta TDI Cup this week/weeekend. The second year running and it’s turned into a great one.
This will mark out first entry for the remaining countdown to Petit on Saturday. Today will be ALMS testing from 2-4pm. SPEED World Challenge will be testing from 5:45-6:30pm.
