With overcast again and the humid Georgia heat, ALMS practice got underway at 10am this morning. We set off for turn 1 to settle in and take shots. When your on the outside wall with these guys coming at you, the speed is insane. I’m not sure which is more intense, turn 1 at Sebring or Petiit ?

Peugeot set out and took the top two spots in todays morning practice. Stephane Sarrazin nailed a 1:08.1 to take top honors with Nick Minassian .9 off his pace for second on the chart.
The two Audi R15 TDI’s finished up 4th and 5th respectively. The #1 car of Luhr/Werner set a 1:09.290 to the 1:09.351 of #2 Capello/McNish.
The #66 Acura de Ferran/Pagenaud/Dixon split the two Audi’s with a 1:09.235
In LMP2, the Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder is sitting in third with a 1:12.669.

GT2 is going to be awesome. The BMW’s are showing good speed here but the #45 Flying Lizard Motorsport Porsche 911 RSR sat in second .523 behind. The Rizi Ferrrari dropped into third .097 back, which is not what the Lizards want to see. Points are big here.
#87 Farnbacher Loles pulled up in 8th with a 1:21.933 and Falken Tire’s Porsche in 11th with a 1:22.834.
It is going to be a great one!
