Audi DTM’s Mike Rockenfeller topped the charts at the first practice session from the Red Bull Ring. With a 1:27.271, “Rocky” was not only the fastest but he also laid down the most laps.
BMW’s Dirk Werner was a blink slower with a 1:27.453 for second with Mercedes’ Paffett in third nailing a 1:27.475.
The remaining top ten went to Timo Scheider (Audi), Martin Tomczyk (BMW), Filipe Albuquerque (Audi), Roberto Merhi (Mercedes-Benz), Mattias Ekstrom, Adrien Tambay (both Audi) and Jamie Green (Mercedes-Benz).
