Oliver Jarvis is going strong, in the run-up to his second DTM season. For the third time during the course of the second official DTM test, held at Hockenheim, the Briton set the fastest lap time. Just a few minutes to 10.00hrs, the Audi works driver lapped the 4.574-kilometre Grand Prix circuit in 1:33.767 minutes – a time that proved to be too good for anybody else, in the morning session. In the closing stages of the session, Mercedes-Benz works drivers Jamie Green and Bruno Spengler made an effort to steal the Briton’s the top position on the time sheets but in the end, they had to settle for finishing second and third respectively.
The only long-run of the session was executed by AMG-Mercedes C-Class driver Paul di Resta. The Scot completed 23 laps – representing a half race distance – in one go. Following his fastest lap at the beginning of the stint, he consistently set 1:35-minute laps. At the end of the day, the Scot who completed a total of 63 laps finished sixth.
