DTM: Our post race thoughts from Norisring

At the last minute, I found a live video stream on justin.tv. Although it wasn’t in English, it was perfect. Gotta love the web.

Timo Scheider owned Norisring. He ran a perfect race and had a win for Audi up until the last few laps. It would have been a historic win too. After each pitstop, he always came out in front. His Audi had the legs in the long straights.

Bruno Spengler followed by Green, shadowed Scheider for quite some time and in the last few laps put pressure on him. With 3 laps Bruno made an inside move on the U-turn, which he had been setting up. It stuck for a second then Timo split the two AMG’s and maintained the lead. Green set up his pass at the chicane, bumped Timo hard enough to knock him offline and be sent back to 4th. It also killed fellow AMG driver, Spengler, a chance at a win.

Green tore off for a lame win in our eyes.

*There are no protest from Audi. This is just our opinion after watching it live.
