On the third of the four days of DTM testing at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg, AMG Mercedes C-Class driver Paul di Resta set the fastest lap time. Altogether, nine drivers set their personal best times within the same second.
Audi’s Oliver Jarvis who had been the quickest in the morning session finished third in the afternoon despite improving his morning best time by more than three tenths of a second – to 1:33.438 minutes. Fourth position was secured by the busiest man of the afternoon session, Bruno Spengler. The Franco-Canadian completed 68 laps. Reigning DTM Champion Timo Scheider finished fifth, 0.514 seconds behind di Resta, thus being the quickest of an Audi quartet holding sixth to ninth positions.
