On July 16th, DTM will change Munich’s ’Olympiapark’ into a special duel not only between the brands but the drivers themselves. Think of RoC (Race of Champions). A special track will be constructed for the 2 day event.
The first day will consist of brand-internal battle to find the best Audi and Mercedes-Benz driver respectively and determine the bracket for the finals on Sunday. 18 drivers will try to advance via the three-lap duels and two individual three-lap time trials over the day.
Sunday is the Audi vs. Mercedes-Benz battle. Qualifying times set on Saturday will be crucial in setting the bracket for the Sunday rounds. The 16 fastest drivers from Saturday will battle it out for the overall win.
Mandatory pit-stops will make it even more interesting. Every race is a knock-out round, the fastest two drivers will advance to the finale to battle it out for the overall win.
