The four-hour event at Virginia International Raceway gets the green flag Saturday, Sept 15 at 2:30 pm ET. Joerg Bergmeister
“On my fast lap I made a mistake in Turn 16 that cost me that lap and the following one too. The car was pretty good in qualifying and I think we had a shot at P2; now we have to focus on finalizing our race setup and go from there. Hopefully we’ll have a good race with strong pit stops. It’s a long race and everyone out there seems to be struggling with the same challenges, mainly maintaining rear grip towards the end of the stint.”
Marco Holzer
“It was a difficult qualifying session for me in the No. 44; I had some problems with the brakes and the field was so close that even a small mistake was enough to cost multiple positions. It’s my first time here at VIR: I’m looking forward to tomorrow, I think we will have a solid car for the race.”

With just two races to go in the 10-race ALMS season, Bergmeister and Long are sixth in the ALMS GT drivers’ championship with 81 points. Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner of the No. 4 Corvette lead with 124 points. The Lizards are third in the team championship with 92 points; Corvette Racing leads with 145 points. There are 46 points possible left in the season.
