Four hours remaining and the #58 Brumos Porsche Riley has the overall lead but only by a few seconds. There are currently four cars still on the lead lap, With the #58 in first, #01 TELEMEX Chip Ganassi Lexus Riley in second, #10 SunTrust Ford Dallara in third and the #59 Brumos Porsche Riley in fourth. The #02 Chip Ganassi Lexus Riley is in fifth, four laps down, while the #16 Penske Racing Porsche Riley is sixth, 13 laps down. The SunTrust team is currently the only Ford powered vehicle still running. The other Ford teams had suffered from engine failures, all were caused by similar problems.
In GT the #67 TRG Porsche is in first with the #66 TRG car in second, on the same lap. The #07 Banner Racing Pontiac GXP.R is in third, four laps behind the GT leader.
The #65 Riegel/Stanton/TRG car retired at around hour 15 after being involved in an incident with another vehicle. While the #26 Gotham Competition car is running well, currently sitting eighth in GT.
The weather has warmed up to about 70 degrees Fahrenheit with no rain in the forecast. The race has been incredibly close with the average margin of lead being only 5.2 seconds. The race has had relatively few safety car periods, 18 thus far, and as such resulted in and average race pace of 126 mph. There are a ton of fans here at the track, many of whom have been camping here in the infield for most of the weekend.
