The first running of the Volkswagen Polo entered in the Czech Circuit Championship by Charouz Racing System ended with a commanding victory.
At the third round of the international series at Most, Antonin Blazek clearly dominated the class up to 1,400 cubic centimetres. When he crossed the finish line, the young native of Prague, who celebrated his 18th birthday on the day of the race, had almost a half-minute lead over his immediate rival. The Racing Polo powered by a 195-hp 1.4-litre engine delivered a convincing, flawless début showing.
