Along with all the great auto racing going on this weekend around globe, we will be attending the AMA Superbike’s here at Road Atlanta. After missing it many times we finally get to see it live! This means updates on the American Le Mans race from Detroit and the DTM race from Nurburgring may be delayed. Will try to snag some wireless out at the track!
Mat Mladin continued his mastery at Road Atlanta by again winning both ends of the 2006 Suzuki Superbike Showdown, but he will not wear the #1 plate in 2007. Yoshimura Suzuki teammate Ben Spies captured the AMA Superbike presented by Parts Unlimited Championship, beating the six-time champ by a mere 8 points.
Spies will be riding the #1 Suzuki in 2007, and Mladin will revert to his customary #66 during the 2007 Rockstar Suzuki Superbike Showdown Aug. 31-Sept. 2. Another change in the Yoshimura Suzuki lineup will have Tommy Hayden replacing Aaron Yates.
