Audi vs. concrete

This is the stuff Le Mans can bring to the table… doesn’t matter what hour!

The team of the No.1 Audi Sport North America Audi R10 TDI Audi discovered a problem indicated by the telemetry data. The problem was caused by a collision with a large chunk of concrete which Dr Wolfgang Ullrich described as, “as big as a fist”. The concrete went under the nose of the Audi and into the suspension, and was removed by the team after the car was brought back to the pit lane and the nose assembly quickly removed. The car rejoined with a new nose assembly, and we will now watch to see whether there will be any long lasting damage.
