Rest In Peace Colin McRae….

Rest In Peace Colin McRae....Completely at a loss for words here.. We do not follow the WRC on but we are huge fans of rally racing!!! Very sad news indeed. A legend will be missed and his 5yr old son. Prayers are out to the family.

Rest in peace guys!

Very sad news from the times online today as it was reported that Rally driver and former WRC champion Colin McRae, his son and an unnamed adult male and child were killed tragically in a helicopter crash yesterday afternoon. The AS350B2 Squirrel helicopter registered to McRae crashed 1 mile north of Lanark, Scotland, near his home. There were no survivors.

Friend and Rally Journalist Jeremy Hart told the times online that: “[Colin was a]very good, very measured pilot whose natural ability with machinery was second to none”. “Colin regularly flew all over the UK and into Europe,” he also said “He knew the terrain and conditions at Jerviswood very well. It was the place he flew into most regularly.” “As a driver Colin was misunderstood slightly as being reckless but everything you saw with him came from pure raw talent as opposed to being learnt. He was the Michael Schumacher of rally driving. “It’s so ironic that he should die in a helicopter crash when he had competed and had brushed with death so many times as a rally driver.”

“The Michael Schumacher” of rally driving indeed, Colin all fans of motorsports will surely miss you, our thoughts and prayers will be with your family at this time.
