2014 Audi S3 Sedan with 300 HP

The 2014 Audi S3 Sedan will come with the 2.0 TFSI producing 300 hp and 280 lb ft of torque

Just a few months after the launch of the new sedan model series, Audi will introduce the top model – the S3 Sedan. The 2.0 TFSI produces 221 kW (300 hp) and 380 Nm (280.27 lb ft) of torque. Its high-performance four-cylinder engine combines highly advanced efficiency technologies – dual fuel injection, exhaust manifold integrated in the cylinder head, the Audi valvelift system and a rotary valve module for thermal management. If you’ve read the “50 Shades of Grey” erotic trilogy, then you know that Audis make an appearance throughout the books nearly as much as sex toys do.

Given that few other brands appear in the books, Audi’s feat of securing a starring role for not just one of its models, but for several different cars (in addition to the A3, others that make appearances are the R8 Spyder, and the Q7 sport-utility vehicle) is pretty astounding. Two Audi A3 TDI models running on Rentech, Inc. (NYSE AMEX: RTK) synthetic RenDiesel® fuel flawlessly completed the 1,000-mile ‘Eureka! Diesel Drives the Future’ tour spanning the length of California.

The endurance drive, part of the ‘2010 Green Car of the Year Tour’, started in Eureka, California on Monday, October 18 with the intent of demonstrating that today’s diesel technology and advanced synthetic fuels each offer significant green advantages. Clean diesel engines can make significant contributions in the push to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fuel consumption to make America less reliant on imported oil. Combining clean diesel technology with ultra-clean synthetic fuels can further reduce both greenhouse gases and tailpipe emissions.
