Europe’s first CO2-free product in rail freight transportation successfully launched on the market • Eco Plus: renewable energy from Germany avoids CO2 emissions.
Audi now transports finished vehicles between Ingolstadt and Emden CO2-free. As of August, the German automobile manufacturer uses DB Schenker Rail’s Eco Plus product, which guarantees CO2-free transportation. Thanks to Eco Plus, one-fourth of the finished vehicles Audi transports by rail avoid CO2 emissions altogether. (continue reading…)

AUDI AG will be the first carmaker ever to present a selection of its products at the 61st International Toy Fair in Nuremberg. The exhibit booth for the car brand with the four rings will present visitors with a selected range of toy models and new products from the Audi children’s world. Turns out that a demo of damage-modeling Gran Turismo 5 was indeed playable on the Gamescom show floor this week.
And in the middle of all of those demo stations was this midnight black Audi TT hooked up to a Playstation 3, hydraulics and smoke machines.
People stood in line to sit inside the real car and drive a digital one in GT5 while watching their performance on a big screen located in front of the car. Sharp turns and bumps made the Audi wiggle a bit as well.

A new landmark has arrived in the city of Ingolstadt just in time for Audi’s 100th anniversary. The giant Audi TT was presented this morning in the grassy area within the Audi roundabout by Dr. Werner Widuckel, Member of the Board of Management for Human Resources at AUDI AG, and Mayor of Ingolstadt Dr. Alfred Lehmann. The steel-frame construction, which has already been shown in Berlin, Beijing, Hong Kong and Munich, is 10.2 meters long, 4.5 meters wide, 3.25 meters high, and weighs about 10 tons.
