Hansson and PNR will compete in the GT Challenge class and have signed international sports car talent Dominik Farnbacher to co-drive in Saturday’s featured four-hour race. Porsche Napleton Racing and driver David Heinemeier Hansson had their best weekend in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama to date in the No. 37 PNR/37signals Porsche GT3 this past Friday and Saturday at Lime Rock Park in the Northeast Grand Prix, July 8 – 9.
Saturday’s first doubleheader of the season saw Hansson and PNR charge from 18th to eighth in the morning sprint before scoring a season-best third-place finish in the second and final race that afternoon. For 2011, Hansson moves from the Cayman Interseries over to the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge. Working with PNR, they’ve built a sweet looking Porsche GT3 wrapped 37signals livery. In 2010, Hansson had some impressive wins and looks forward to the 2011 season. With teams like Muscle Milk Team CytoSport, TRG, Alex Job Racing, GMG and more, it’s not going to be an easy one.
