As we were doing a little more research, we came across this image on the Geneva Motor Show’s site under the Premieres tab. It features the Gallardo Superleggera (on the right) which was the car Lamborghini introduced in 2007 at the Geneva Motor Show.

Rumors have been circulating around that we could see a successors to the Gallardo family come March. While some are saying an increase of 10hp, new suspension work and exterior design modifications will be the highlights, we hope to see a bit more. Customers could see theirs by next May. On top of that, a LP590-2 SV could be net in 2011.
Back in 2007 Automobili Lamborghini SpA unveiled a rather special Gallardo in Geneva, the Superleggera, a race bred version of the well known V10 model that shed some weight and became an instant success. It was only available in a small selection of colors and it was rather sparsely finished on the inside, however the full carbon fiber door panels and Alcantara loops instead of handles to close the doors were highly welcomed … in total the Superleggera lost 100 Kg in the process and gained 10 Bhp.
