We didn’t plan this but its turned out to be a Sean Edwards week here at oneighturbo! At 26 years of age, Englishman, Sean Edwards is having a profound impact on American motorsport fans. He has quickly become a front-runner in both Grand-Am and ALMS racing and his name is synonymous with Porsche Supercup and Carrera Cup Championships. Last year, Edwards was even able to play a part in Ron Howard’s film Rush where he portrayed his father. The Golf GTI Cabrio Austria with 333 PS (245 kW) is a twofold premiere: it is the first time Volkswagen apprentices have designed a cabriolet for the GTI Festival at the Worthersee Lake in Austria and it is the first ever collaboration between junior talents from Wolfsburg and Osnabruck. Thirteen apprentices of four professions built a two-seater in red-white-red, the national colors of the host country. Simraceway: A world of motorsport goodness in a download

This review has been simmering on the back burners of the press kitchen for a little while now. Not because we have been putting off diving in to the world of Simraceway, but because there is so much to digest in this simulated world of motorsport goodness we wanted to make sure we give this our full attention.

Simraceway opened its doors in a slightly different manner from the other motorsport simulation developers currently playing in the deep end of the pool. Instead of grabbing a handful of software gurus, physics developers, gaming community organizers and a couple of marketing people to round out the field, they did all of what I just mentioned and then partnered with the Jim Russell Racing School based at the Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma California. This partnership saw the legendary Jim Russell school rename itself into the Simraceway Performance Driving Center. Try and name another racing simulation development house that has a base of operations at a world-class circuit. There is a reason you can’t. Simraceway has that distinction locked up. The 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps has come and gone and with it the beautiful weather that has not usually been the case in years past. Audi nailed an impressive 1-2-3 finish in LMP1. The Porsche model offensive in the anniversary year of the 911 is reaching new heights. 50 years ago, the 911 made its debut at the Frankfurt International Auto Show. And just ten years later, the first 911 Turbo prototype was at the IAA. On this 40th anniversary Porsche is now presenting the new generation 911 Turbo and Turbo S – the technological and dynamic performance peak of the 911 series. New all-wheel drive, active rear axle steering, adaptive aerodynamics, full-LED headlights and the up to 560 hp flat six-cylinder engine with bi-turbo charging underscore the role of the new generation 911 Turbo as a circuit racing car, everyday car and technology platform. Playing an equally crucial role are the entirely new chassis in lightweight design with a 100 mm longer wheelbase and larger 20-inch wheels. 2014 Audi S3 Sedan with 300 HP

The 2014 Audi S3 Sedan will come with the 2.0 TFSI producing 300 hp and 280 lb ft of torque

Just a few months after the launch of the new sedan model series, Audi will introduce the top model – the S3 Sedan. The 2.0 TFSI produces 221 kW (300 hp) and 380 Nm (280.27 lb ft) of torque. Its high-performance four-cylinder engine combines highly advanced efficiency technologies – dual fuel injection, exhaust manifold integrated in the cylinder head, the Audi valvelift system and a rotary valve module for thermal management. 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 makes its debut in Geneva

The fifth generation of the 911 GT3, a complete new development, will take the pole position among the thoroughbred Porsche sports cars with naturally aspirated engines. Boxer engine and transmission, as well as body and chassis are completely new and constitute a further development of the 911 GT3 concept with an impressive performance leap. Power: 475 hp. Power to weight ratio: 3.0 kg/hp. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h: in 3.5 seconds. Top speed: 315 km/h. Lap time Nurburgring Nordschleife: under 7:30 minutes. As a technical highlight, it features the first active rear wheel steering in a production Porsche. As well as the optional full LED headlights. The new 911 GT3 keeps all the successful properties of a sports car suitable for racing, with even more driving dynamics, more sophisticated practicality – and a highly emotional fun factor.
