This review has been simmering on the back burners of the ONEIGHTURBO.com press kitchen for a little while now. Not because we have been putting off diving in to the world of Simraceway, but because there is so much to digest in this simulated world of motorsport goodness we wanted to make sure we give this our full attention.
Simraceway opened its doors in a slightly different manner from the other motorsport simulation developers currently playing in the deep end of the pool. Instead of grabbing a handful of software gurus, physics developers, gaming community organizers and a couple of marketing people to round out the field, they did all of what I just mentioned and then partnered with the Jim Russell Racing School based at the Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma California. This partnership saw the legendary Jim Russell school rename itself into the Simraceway Performance Driving Center. Try and name another racing simulation development house that has a base of operations at a world-class circuit. There is a reason you can’t. Simraceway has that distinction locked up.
