Paul Miller Racing will debut a new set of wheels in every sense of the word at this week’s 60th Anniversary Twelve Hours of Sebring as the team announced today that its brand-new, Dunlop-shod No. 48 Chopard Porsche 911 GT3 RSR co-driven by Bryce Miller, Sascha Maassen and Rob Bell will utilize brand-new wheels from Motegi Racing. Let the racing begin! In just two days the 60th running of the 12 Hours of Sebring will kick off with official practices and the smell of racing fuel (or diesel in Audi’s case) will be in the air. We’re pumped and heading down tomorrow morning.

Besides Google maps to get us where were going, even though we’ve been a bazillion times, the next most important thing to grab is the 2012 12 Hours of Sebring Spotter Guide! Paul Miller Racing adds Dunlop tires to its arsenal

Paul Miller Racing and co-drivers Bryce Miller and Sascha Maassen have good reasons for optimism in the 2012 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón season.

Heading into its second full season of ALMS competition, the team announced yesterday it would use Dunlop tires on a brand-new No. 48 Chopard/TOTAL/IPC Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. Miller, Maassen and the Paul Miller Racing team will once again compete in the supremely competitive GT class for the full 2012 ALMS season. A dreary Wednesday morning greeted the teams and the first of two winter test days for the American Le Mans 2012 season. Morning temps were hovering around 55* with the first session starting 8-11:30AM ET. For Paul Miller Racing, the Rolex 24 at Daytona couldn’t start any better. Pole position would be great but 10th on grid is pretty nice looking at the race from afar. The no48 Chopard Porsche GT3 showed strong pace in the two practice sessions they participated in. During practice 3 a 1:49.653 was well within the top times. Top Porsche 5th in Wednesdays GT test from Petit Le Mans

With a stacked field of 18 cars, the GT class could hold its own race and still end up incredible this Saturday at Petit Le Mans. Joerg Bergmeister was able to round out the top five during todays two hour testing session with a 1:20.446. Jaime Melo, in one of six Ferrari’s, landed on top with a 1:20.102. Porsche teams head to Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans 2011

The title defenders are back: With the first victory of the season under their belts, Porsche works drivers Joerg Bergmeister (Germany) and Patrick Long (USA) travel with optimism to the final round of the American Le Mans Series on 1 October on the time-honored Road Atlanta circuit. At the 1,000 mile classic in the US State of Georgia, the Laguna Seca winners aim to conclude the season with another success with their Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. One of their strongest rivals comes from their own camp: Porsche factory pilot Wolf Henzler (Germany) has already notched up two victories so far this season from Mid-Ohio and Baltimore.
