A dramatic pit stop overshadowed the penultimate race at Zolder Belcar. When entering pit box, the Ferrari of Hans Thiers brakes and hits three people with one of Dutch’s own team and a bystander from Valkenswaard. In the “Algemeen Dagblad” said Frank Thiers said: “Hans drove 60 according to the rules. Everything went normally, but when he arrived at his team-box there was a malfunction with the brakes. The car shot up, got our full team boss Massimo Bottiglieri and drove into a Dutch man. Massimo has only a broken wrist, but the Dutch gentleman was not ok. We pray for him that he comes through. We heard that he was happy his son not blame us. It was a technical defect. Due to the extremely hot weather was apparently the brake fluid to boil. Gallery after the jump!
