The reigning APR Volkswagen Racing Cup Champion, James Walker, has announced that he will not be returning to defend his crown. However, his old team, KPM, is to field a multi-car squad and has every hope of scoring another championship victory.
Walker, 26, is to take a year out of racing to concentrate on the family haulage business and to get married. The two Team Biogas.se Volkswagen drivers Fredrik Ekblom and Patrik Olsson struggled in the first Scandiavian Touring Car Championship race weekend. The pair only managed to get two points.
From their appearance last year as part of the Belgian Touring Car Series, the VW Scirocco W Racing Team had played the title in the T3 category, the duo-Smits Latinne not bowing as a twist of fate.
