
Just a few months after the launch of the new sedan model series, Audi will introduce the top model – the S3 Sedan. The 2.0 TFSI produces 221 kW (300 hp) and 380 Nm (280.27 lb ft) of torque. Its high-performance four-cylinder engine combines highly advanced efficiency technologies – dual fuel injection, exhaust manifold integrated in the cylinder head, the Audi valvelift system and a rotary valve module for thermal management. Audi is presenting the RS Q3 at the Geneva International Motor Show, the first RS model for the successful Q line-up. It combines outstanding everyday practicality with dynamic driving performance: It takes just 5.5 seconds to complete the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph), and its top speed is electronically governed to 250 km/h (155.34 mph). The 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo produces 228 kW (310 hp) and has an average fuel consumption of just 8.8 liters of fuel per 100 km (26.73 US mpg). Audi was named the Highest Premium Brand for the Autobytel and AutoPacific 2012 Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA). Based on a survey of over 75,000 new car and light truck owners, the IVAs recognize the cars that meet their owner’s expectations and desires about their automotive purchases. Contributing to this standing was a sweep of the Aspirational Luxury Car category by the Audi A4, Audi A5 and Audi A6. The Audi Q5 and Q7 also had strong showings in their crossover SUV categories. Just over a year ago, ABT Sportsline presented the “Speedle” Beetle concept. Volkswagen unveiled the Beetle TDI Clean Diesel at the Chicago Auto Show in February and would be available in the U.S in August. The sporty Audi Q5 hybrid quattro is the first full hybrid in the mid-class premium segment to offer a lithium-ion battery as standard. Conceptualized as a parallel hybrid, it combines the driving performance of a six-cylinder engine with the fuel economy of a four-cylinder engine. A 2.0 TFSI developing 155 kW (211 hp) and an electric motor with an output of up to 40 kW (54 hp) and 210 Nm (154.89 lb-ft) of torque handle drive propulsion together; their system power is 180 kW (245 hp) and system torque is 480 Nm (354.03 lb-ft).
