Once again, Audi has a tough one ahead of them this weekend at the Norisring. This is their home circuit and they have not won here since 2002. Laurent Aiello was the winner of that race driving the no1 Abt-Audi TT-R.

At a press conference held in the run-up to the fifth round of the DTM season, staged by Nuremberg’s Norisring, DTM aces Christian Vietoris, Jamie Green and Timo Scheider answered the questions of the local media representatives. The event was held in the ‘Museum fur Kommunikation’, with an Audi A4 DTM and an AMG Mercedes C-Class being showcased in the building’s atrium. Fresh off his win two weeks ago at Spielberg, Martin Tomczyk nails a superb finish at the DTM Lausitzring and now leads the Championship. With 63,000 spectators watching, Tomczyk went from forth to third and hounded the two leading Mercedes cars. Another Audi 1-2-3 in the second free practice from the Lausitzring. This time is was Martin Tomczyk at the top. Tomczyk, who won his first DTM race two weeks ago at Spielberg, lapped a 1:18.912. With Mike Rockenfeller sitting out this weekends DTM race from the Lausitzring, Tom Kristenssen is filling in for him. Rocky had a horrific crash during last weekends 24 Hours of Le Mans and is taking time off to recover. Kristensen drove in the DTM from 2004-2009 and has two podium spot at the Eurspeedway.
