Porsche Napleton Racing and driver David Heinemeier Hansson had their best weekend in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama to date in the No. 37 PNR/37signals Porsche GT3 this past Friday and Saturday at Lime Rock Park in the Northeast Grand Prix, July 8 – 9.
Saturday’s first doubleheader of the season saw Hansson and PNR charge from 18th to eighth in the morning sprint before scoring a season-best third-place finish in the second and final race that afternoon. Qualifying was a family affair in Sebring today, as Henrique and Eduardo Cisneros earned BBS Pole Awards by taking their first IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama pole positions, ahead of the 59th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Henrique Cisneros moved from Gold Cup to Platinum this season, driving the #26 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car for NGT Motorsport. The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced today that its ADVAN Sport tire for high powered saloon cars, in its global flagship brand “ADVAN” line, has been fitted as original equipment on the Audi A7 Sportback, a premium luxury 4-door coupe from the German manufacturer Audi. Tire sizes are 265/35R20 99Y XL (extra load) for both front and rear. The Audi A7 Sportback is being released in Europe in the autumn in 2010 and worldwide in 2011. The A7 Sportback is the fourth Audi model to have Yokohama tires fitted as original equipment, joining the S6 and S8 in Audi’s top-class S series, and the Audi Q7, a large, high-performance SUV.
