Lowest consumption and emissions in its class
At the New York International Auto Show in Manhattan today the Volkswagen Blue Motion-models have been declared the 2010 World Green Cars.
The 59 member jury has given the Blue Motion product brand (available for Polo, Golf and Passat) preference over two other finalists in the 2010 World Green Car award: the Honda Insight and the Toyota Prius. (continue reading…)

At the award ceremony of the “Goldenes Lenkrad 2009” in Berlin yesterday evening, Volkswagen was able to rejoice at no less than two honors: the new Polo won in the supermini category. And the newly conceived Polo BlueMotion hit the mark in the “Grünes Lenkrad” category, which was established in 2007.

Volkswagen has revealed pricing and details of its latest BlueMotion model, the Golf Plus. The new model offers all the practicality and comfort of the new standard Golf Plus which went on sale in May, but with even greater economy and lower carbon dioxide emissions. Prices start at £17,570 RRP ‘on the road’ for the Golf Plus BlueMotion S, rising to £18,920 for the SE; that’s just £325 more than the equivalent standard Golf Plus S and SE models.
