The Golf is and remains the most successful car in Europe. The launch of the new Golf is exceeding all expectations. The largest carmaker in Europe conceptualized the new versatile SUV specifically for the USA and Canada. Joining the CC R-Line and recently introduced Beetle R-Line coupe, the Tiguan R-Line and Touareg R-Line will be added to the Volkswagen line-up for model year 2014. Volkswagen announced today that a 2013 Jetta Hybrid driven by Motor Trend Associate Road Test Editor Carlos Lago recorded a speed of 185.394 mph (298.363 kph) at the Bonneville Salt Flats, near Wendover, Nevada, during the Southern California Timing Association’s (SCTA) annual Speed Week.
