Today, the 2006 DTM calendar was passed by the DMSB, in Frankfurt. Once again, Europe’s leading touring car championship is holding six of its ten rounds on German soil, in 2006. Regarding the races in foreign countries, however, the supporters may look forward to several new challenges, with Brands Hatch and Barcelona being new venues on the 2006 DTM calendar and only Zandvoort representing familiar terrain, for the DTM teams and drivers.

The calendar of the Formula 3 Euro Series, partly contested as part of the DTM support programme, will be published next week, in agreement with the French Motorsport Association, FFSA.
